KLT is Recruiting Trustees!

Kawartha Land Trust (KLT) is recruiting a number of voluntary positions to join our esteemed team of Trustees.
Over the last 20 years, KLT—the only Land Trust in the region—has successfully started a conservation boom in the Kawarthas by protecting over 4,500 acres of critical natural spaces.
We do this by working with private landowners to acquire land or conservation easements for ecologically significant land in the Kawarthas, and by stewarding/managing KLT-protected properties.
Whether you’re an experienced Trustee or looking to take your first steps in non-profit governance, we want to hear from you.
We are specifically recruiting Trustees with skills in one or more of the following areas:

Governance Policy
As a Trustee you will have:
- Opportunities to make strategic appointments & develop new skills
- Opportunities to network with senior professionals
- Influence to shape innovative conservation initiatives
- The chance to act as KLT ambassador and champion in the community
Trustees are elected at our Annual General Meeting (AGM) in June of each year and are asked to serve a three-year term.
KLT values diversity, equity, and inclusion. We encourage expressions of interest from all qualified applicants. Accommodations are available upon request for applicants who identify as Deaf and/or disabled.
