Discover KLT Protected Properties This Winter
Winter has arrived and it’s cold outside, but don’t let that stop you from getting out and enjoying the land you love. Whether you prefer cross-country skiing, snow shoeing or hiking in your winter boots, some of our protected properties are open for you to explore.
KLT Properties You Can Enjoy This Winter:
1. Stony Lake Trails
KLT Parking lot at 105 Reid’s Road, North Kawartha
Notice to trail users – please note that Cottage Road 10A is a private road. Please use the marked hiking trail. It is also very important to keep your pets under control or on leash in this area in order to avoid conflicts with neighbouring property owners and wildlife in the area.
South Pond Farms is providing access to the trails from their property on Saturdays and Sundays from 11am to 3pm, beginning December 31st.
How it works:
Parking is at South Pond Farms: 1020 Gray Rd, Pontypool, ON
Trails are self guided. Trail maps are provided at the parking area.
Fee is $10 per vehicle. Proceeds will go toward helping to clearing the parking lot, trail maintenance and the Kawartha Land Trust.
Trails are open Saturday’s and Sunday’s from 11-3.
Opening Day: December 31st.
