New Property Celebration: Jeffrey-Cowan Forest Preserve

July 21st | Jeffrey-Cowan Forest Preserve Celebration 

Please join us on July 21st to celebrate our newly protected Jeffrey-Cowan Forest Preserve. Take in the views, hike amongst ancient trees and witness the beautiful wilderness growing in “The Land Between”. For over half a century, this special piece of Stony Lake was carefully loved by Norman Cowan and the Jeffreys family.

Event Details:  

When:  Saturday, July 21st, 2018 

Time: 10:30 a.m. (At water’s edge – see map below)

If you are arriving by car please arrive at 10 a.m., limited parking is available on top of ‘Norman’s Hill’ or by the roadside on Fire Route 10. It is approximately a 20 minute walk to the water by trail, in which volunteers will lead groups down to the meeting spot. See on Google Maps

Where: 81 Fire Route 10, North Kawartha Township

Brief Remarks at 10:30 a.m. followed by guided walks for those who wish.
